The Ex-cadets association
The Ex-Cadets Association helps maintain strong connections between former cadets and the station.

The Josiah Howard Foundation helps preserve the legacy and values of Smedley while supporting former cadets through scholarships, leadership development opportunities, and alumni initiatives.
The Foundation plays an important role in helping graduates continue their development long after completing the cadetship.
Guided by Public Trust
Public Trust continues to oversee the Howard Estate and helps ensure Smedley operates in accordance with Josiah Howard’s original vision and charitable purpose.
This stewardship helps preserve the long-term future of the cadetship programme for generations to come.
